Today the Phonzio team watched the Huawei Mate 90 Pro Unboxing and Camera Test – ASMR video on YouTube, and it is a relaxing one. No loud intro, no rushed talking, just the box, the phone and the camera samples. Here is a quick look at what the Mate 90 Pro brings.
What’s Inside the Box
The video takes its time with the unboxing: the box opens, the phone comes out, and then the accessories. Watch it for the full list of what ships with the phone, since the contents can differ by region and bundle.
Design
The Mate 90 Pro comes in four colors: Amber Orange, Florence, Crystal White and Obsidian Black. It uses Huawei’s Kunlun + Basalt architecture, and the display is protected by third-generation Kunlun Glass.
Display and Performance
The phone has a 6.75-inch dual-layer OLED display with FHD+ resolution (2832 x 1280), a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 12,000 nits of peak brightness. It runs on the Kirin 9035 chipset with a 2.85GHz main clock speed, and it ships with HarmonyOS 7. Huawei claims about 20% better overall performance from the chipset, HarmonyOS 7 and cloud computing working together.
Camera and Software
The camera is the main attraction here:
| Camera | Spec |
|---|---|
| Main | 50MP RYYB Ultra Vision |
| Telephoto | 50MP RYYB macro telephoto, 4x optical zoom, up to 100x digital zoom |
| Ultrawide | 40MP |
| Extra | Third-generation multispectral camera |
| Front | 13MP ultrawide + 3D depth-sensing camera |
The camera test in the video shows how these sensors handle everyday shots, so it is worth watching with headphones on.
Battery and Charging
The Mate 90 Pro has a 6,600mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, which is a big battery with very fast charging.
The Catch
The Mate 90 Pro is currently sold through Huawei’s VMall at around $1,044, and an official Pakistan or India launch has not been confirmed yet.
