The Phonzio team watched this Xiaomi 18 Pro Max unboxing with headphones on. It is a proper ASMR treat. The commentary stays light. The seal peels back, the lid lifts, and we get a first look at Xiaomi’s biggest flagship of 2026. Here is what we noted about the phone.
What’s Inside the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max Box
The box lists the phone, a power adapter, and a USB-C cable. You also get a SIM pin, a protective case, a warranty card, and a quick start guide. A screen protector comes pre-applied. Contents can vary by region, so check your local listing before you buy.
Design and Cooling System
The Pro Max weighs 235g and measures 8.39mm thick. A 2.9-inch OLED secondary display sits on the back. A circular cold-pump cooling system covers 5,513mm² and keeps performance steady under load.
Display and Performance
The front has a flat 6.9-inch OLED panel with 2624 × 1208 resolution. It runs from 1 to 120Hz and reaches 4,000 nits. It also works as a Privacy Display, and Dragon Crystal Glass 3 protects it. Inside, the 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 does the heavy lifting. It comes with up to 16GB of RAM and runs Android 17.
Camera Highlights
The back has three cameras. A 200MP Leica main sensor (1/1.28-inch, OIS) leads the way. A 200MP periscope telephoto adds 3.2x optical zoom. A 50MP ultrawide covers wide shots. The main camera also gets LOFIC HDR, which should help in high-contrast scenes. Video goes up to 8K at 30fps. You can also shoot 4K at up to 120fps with Dolby Vision.
Battery and Charging
An 8,500mAh battery powers the phone. It supports 100W wired, 50W wireless, and 27W reverse wireless charging. That is one of the biggest battery setups on any flagship right now.
Availability
One catch: these specs come from the China launch. Xiaomi has confirmed an India launch. There is no confirmed US release yet, so check for a global launch before you buy.
