Unboxing the REDMAGIC 11S Pro Nightfreeze Edition | Gaming Beast Unleashed

We sat down together to watch the REDMAGIC 11S Pro in Nightfreeze before it went live, and this covers what’s actually in the box, how the transparent design feels in hand, and whether the liquid cooling claim holds up.

Inside the box: the phone, an 80W charging brick and cable, SIM tool, a case, and paperwork. Samsung dropped chargers years ago; RedMagic still includes one, and honestly it’s the right call for a phone built around sustained gaming.

First reaction from the team was the weight and the back panel. At 230g, it’s not light, but the transparent Nightfreeze shell actually shows the AquaCore liquid-cooling tubes running across the internals — this isn’t a printed graphic; it’s the real cooling system visible through the glass. One of us said it looks like a PC case window. The other said it looks like it belongs on a desk, not in a pocket. Both are fair.

The feature we spent the most time on was the cooling itself. RedMagic calls it the world’s first mass-produced liquid-cooled phone, and we ran a 20-minute gaming session to see if that’s marketing or real. The back panel stayed noticeably cooler than past RedMagic phones we’ve tested, and there was no throttling we could feel in frame pacing. We’ll confirm this properly with thermal readings in the full review, but the first impression is that this one’s not just a spec sheet claim.

One caution worth flagging: the shoulder triggers and gaming switch are fantastic for landscape gaming, but they make the phone bulkier and less pocket-friendly than a standard flagship. If you’re buying this as a daily driver first rather than a gaming-first phone, that trade-off matters more than the benchmark numbers.

Full performance and camera testing goes up next week; this is our first-hours read.
