Huawei Pura X View Unboxing – ASMR Edition
Our Huawei Pura X View unboxing keeps the commentary minimal and lets the details speak for themselves: the seal peeling back, the box lid lifting, and that first look at Huawei’s wide-screen slab phone. It’s the kind of video worth watching with headphones on.
What’s Inside the Box
The package includes the handset, a USB-C charging cable, and the usual documentation. Huawei sells its official accessories — a vegan leather magnetic case and a pen-box-style case for stylus storage — separately, so don’t expect either bundled in.
Design and Cooling System
This is where the Pura X View stands apart. At 6.68mm thick and 201g, the back uses 3D grating glass with geometric patterns that shift with light as you turn the phone. Under the hood, a full-area vapor chamber cooling system paired with a ring-type gain antenna keeps the Kirin 9030S chipset stable during extended use — important given how thin the body is.
Display and Performance
A 6.39-inch OLED panel leads the front, but with an unusual 16:9.5 aspect ratio and 2232 × 1320 resolution that shows noticeably more content than a standard flagship screen. It hits up to 6,500 nits peak brightness, runs at 120Hz, and supports 2,160Hz PWM dimming to ease eye strain. Powering it all, the Kirin 9030S chipset pairs with 12GB of RAM, delivering roughly a 28% performance jump over last year’s Pura X.
Camera and Software Features
On the back, a 200MP RYYB main sensor with OIS handles most shots, joined by an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP periscope telephoto with an 88mm equivalent focal length for long-zoom shots. Meanwhile, the software side stands out too: the Pura X View is the first phone to ship on HarmonyOS 7, and it introduces a Huawei Share remote-sending feature that lets users send files to contacts even when they’re not nearby.
Battery and Charging
A 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery anchors the device, supported by 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, plus reverse wired and wireless charging. As a result, the phone should comfortably outlast older flagships on a single charge. The build also carries an IP68 and IP69 rating for water and dust resistance, protected by Kunlun Glass.
One catch worth flagging: this is a China-market launch only, so there’s no official US availability, and importing one means dealing with HarmonyOS’s app compatibility and no Google Play support.
